A man will appear among the ranks of humankind, a personable man of great oratory skills and attractive visual appearance. He will rise within a position of political power and will be endued with miraculous powers and perform great works as a testimony to his authority. This man will embrace all religious systems as of “God” and will openly propagate all means as a way to God. His ecumenical approach will win the hearts of those who hear; even many of those who call upon the name of Christ. This man, the antichrist, will deceive most to believe he is the one who will bring hope to the world. After assuming the reins of power, the great world leader will usher in a period of universal peace and prosperity. His magnetism and charisma will enable him to establish himself at the helm of a One World Government, One World Economy, and a One World New Age Religion.
This individual will not only have the unusual gift of dynamic communications and entrancing presence, he will also arise at a time when the world is troubled and failing from fear. He will be vaulted to position almost overnight from within a spiritual system seeking leadership. A system that appears godly on the surface, but rather derives its origin from ancient occult practices and beliefs. Enter in the Age of Aquarius, also called the New Age. Not a religious cult or a system that has any distinguishable appearance of evil, but a paganistic system that is growing at an unprecedented rate. Capturing converts from the church itself, even some clergy openly allow occult functions out of ignorance. Many leaders are not educated in this movement authored by the fallen angel, which allows the dark powers to prosper from within.
Randall Baer, a former New Age leader who became a born again Christian expresses the nature of the Aquarian conspiracy we must contend with in his revealing bestseller, “Inside The New Age Nightmare”. He wrote, "This agenda is nothing less than the complete revolutionizing of the very foundations of not only America but the entire world. Such a plan calls for the total restructuring of planetary civilization into an enlightened One World Federation in which national boundaries and sovereignty are secondary, and 'planetary citizenship' in the 'global village' is the order of the day. This (conspiracy) offers a world in desperate need a grand solution to profound global problems. Apparent world peace and unprecedented opportunities ... are to be unveiled."
Already, Christians are being branded as narrow-minded bigots for claiming Christ as the only way unto the father. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6 KJV). Christianity is currently being discredited by New Agers and those who follow the biblical teachings are deemed spiritually inferior and enemies of the New Age. The average New Ager will agree that Jesus Christ is God — his worldview will allow that. But his worldview will also compel him to say that Jesus is no more God than anyone else. Though some New Age groups identify themselves as Christian, and most New Agers think highly of Jesus, their endorsements of Him are ghastly substitute for the true Jesus who is the Son of God. This non-deification stance is a perfect catalyst for the coming antichrist.
The scripture reveals little about this Luciferian incarnation, but history shows that the power of iniquity has attempted to empower several men who had potential and who sought to be a god. Antiochus Epiphanes, Roman Emperor Nero, Charlemagne, Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and others are all leaders who aspired to greatness and conquest. The church still awaits the rise of the one final worker of deception, an event that is dependant on many factors to be in alignment before his appearance. He will, like other leaders before him, rely heavily on the occult to energize and empower his office. The same malignant powers are found active in the New Age system, the breeding ground aspiring to the self-seekers sceptered by the kingdom of darkness.
The New Age is not new at all; the beliefs and practices revert back to the time of Nimrod and Babylon. After the Flood of Noah's days, Nimrod was "a mighty hunter before the Lord," and he established the city of Babylon and also the city of Nineveh, which later became the capital of Assyria. He was against God. He introduced astrology, witchcraft, idolatry, and many other ungodly systems that have survived to this day. It is known that all the religions of the ancient empires were built on the same corruptions originated by Nimrod. These spiritual systems continue unabated today amidst various disguises and renamed as were the idols of old.
There are several views on the eschological order of end time events, found in the studies of dispensationalism. Many which have scriptural basis, others that are historical assumptions based on limited information. However, despite the order by which end time events will transpire, the end is coming and shall be herald with the lawless one amidst a false spiritual system, this much we can be certain.
The days are short and the times are evil, be exceedingly cautious of what you receive as truth. Weigh all things against the Holy Scripture, for they contain the true light. Beelzebub is skilled and wise beyond any human, capable of deceiving the most enlightened. For scripture reveals to us “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matthew 24:24 KJV). How would those in Christ be deceived? If a man rose up from a system that used terms such as “Christ consciousness” and God is in all, and there are many ways to find God, whatever you choose will work. To the undiscerning soul without the wisdom of the Holy God, such words might seem as righteous truths.
One has to be careful not to be dogmatic about future events, for in as much as people have tried to predict trends, they are often in error. We are not able to foresee the interactive variables that constantly modify the end result. There are some constants and immutable words of prophesy, but we will all be surprised at how events actually unfold. Therefore stand fast in the faith and do not easily be moved.
